1. What is FMGE or MCI Screening exam for?

Full form of FMGE is Foreign Medical Graduate Examination.
It is also known as MCI (Medical Council of India) Screening exam. Every year thousands of students plan to do MBBS Abroad. After completion of their Degree,
they come back to India and want to practice medicine or pursue further studies. For that they have to clear the licensing exam known as FMGE or MCI
Screening exam. FMGE / MCI Screening exam is conducted twice a year- in June and in December.

2. What are the eligibility criteria for appearing in FMGE / MCI Screening exam?

Applicant must be Indian
Citizen or Indian Overseas Citizen. Candidate should possess a medical Degree
equivalent qualification required to enrol as a medical practitioner in India,
from a Medical College / University / Institution recognized by MCI and Indian
Embassy concerned. Students obtaining this degree from USA, United Kingdom

The cut-off date for obtaining the Primary Medical Qualification
on or before 30th Nov 2019

3. What is syllabus of screening exam of MCI / FMGE?

Syllabus of FMGE / MCI Screening exam is same as prescribed

4. What is the Pattern of FMGE  / MCI Screening examination

FMGE / MCI Screening exam is divided in two parts

Module A: Pre and Para Clinical Subjects: Duration of FMGE /
MCI Screening exam “MODULE A” is 2hrs 30 Mins. It starts at 9:00 AM and ends at
11:30 AM. Reporting time for module A is 7:00 AM till 8:30 AM. This module
consists of 100 MCQs

Module B:  Clinical
Subjects: Duration of FMGE / MCI Screening exam “MODULE B” is 2hrs 30 Mins. It
starts at 02:30 PM and ends at 4:30 PM. It also consists of 200 MCQs. Reporting
time for FMGE exam module B is 12:00 PM to 01:30 PM

5. What are Passing marks for FMGE / MCI Screening exam:

To pass FMGE / MCI Screening exam, a candidate must get more than or equal to 150 Marks out of 300. There is no provision of getting exam rechecked or retotaling. Results are declared on NBE website.

6. Notification for FMGE 2019 screening exam:  

Notification for FMGE Dec 2019 exam was out on 11th October 2019. It is generally out around 2 to 3 months prior to the exam date

8. How much is the fees for FMGE / MCI Screening exam 2019

Fees for FMGE exam for session Dec 2019 is Rs 5500 (Bank /
payment gateway charges extra). This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. Make sure to fill the FMGE application form appropriately to avoid disqualification.

9. What is Exam Date for FMG examination Dec 2019

FMGE / MCI Screening exam for Dec 2019 will be conducted on
20th December 2019. Important dates are as follows

10. How to get admit card for FMGE exam / MCI Screening Exam 2019

Admit cards for FMGE Dec 2019 will be available from 13th
December 2019. It can be downloaded from official website https://cdn3.digialm.com//EForms/configuredHtml/1815/63040/Index.html
after logging in with user name and password used to register for the exam.

11. What are the test centers for FMGE exam Dec 2019

Test center for FMGE / MCI Screening exam, along with
compete address, is allotted to a candidate on the admit card. In general, the

12.  What documents you should carry on FMGE exam day

In order to appear in the FMGE / MCI Screening exam,
candidate must bring following documents

  1. Printed copy of Admit card with recent passport
    size Photograph pasted on it
  2. Any authorized ID proof in ORIGINAL issued by
    Government. That can be:
    1. Pan Card
    1. Voter card
    1. Passport
    1. Driving License
    1. Aadhar card

ID proof should have a clear
photograph of the candidate without any scratches or stains. The name on the ID
proof should be exact as on the admit card/ application form of FMGE exam. In
case of name change, candidate must bring valid documentary proof of it. The
final decision will be of the NBE personal present at the venue of the exam.

13. Result of FMGE exam 2019

Result of FMGE exam is generally declared after one month of
the exam. For the exam to be conducted on 20th December 2019, the
result will be announced my 20th Jan 2020. Candidate can see the
result on the official website of NBE by logging in with user name and
password.
